Si5 has been conceived to solve problems concerning production management in small, medium and large companies operating in different industrial sectors and having at disposal one or more plants. Indeed, Si5 is able to manage, at the same time, several operational units in the same company, or several plants belonging to different companies, but sharing businesses (all plants of different suppliers in a large company) or partnerships (all plants controlled by holdings), by achieving an actual supply chain.
Moreover, the system fixes problems concerning production management in companies having different production characteristics, from small/ medium production to mass production, from non-recurrent order productions to productions at recurrent batches.

SIGIP enables to optimize productivity both in terms of plant and manpower saturation, by contributing to minimization of production stock, in respect of due dates of production scheduling.

Production optmization is obtained thanks to complete rationalization of production process, which in terms of advantages means for the company :

Technical production data : bill of materials and cycles

The module includes the actual basis of information upon which relies production management and from which item costs are fixed. Through productive bill of materials, which represents the manufacturing structure of the product, it is possible to manage the validity of links within the different types, cycle operations connected with the possibility to manage several bills for a single product through “explosion” (EMO) and “implosion” (IMO).

Through production cycles it is possible to describe operations to carry out in order to transform a raw material into a semi-manufactured one or to trasform single components into a whole. Moreover, the module allows to group one or several production resources, technologically and productively similar, by  defining work centres data which can be associated with a single production cycle. Products can be qualified according to their origin, and it’s possible to manage double origins and historize their dynamic as well.

Design technical data

Management of design data includes a series of functions enabling the corporation to do its business and integrate with production functions. These functions, complementary to design support systems (CAD), typical of design, are the following :

Management of technical structure of the product or technical bill of materials,
Management of technical modifications,
Issuance of the documentation concerning modifications,
Management of the history of product configurations.
Moreover, the module manages data concerning technical modifications, which file information relating to design modifications and technical bill of materials, and in which it’s possible to display representation of product composition according to design structure.

Internal work order

Thanks to this module, it’s possible to launch internal manufacturing and at the same time to issue and manage the documentation of workshop. It is also possible to control how manufacturing progresses by providing the factory with the work scheduling and planning data base to control both machine and labour loading. In factories, it’s possible to manage other than lot orders also order scheduling, constantly regenerated by planning procedures.
